We will put out a comprehensive market review this week after the highly anticipated CPI print but we wanted to hammer home a few points to our readers as we feel they should have an informational edge over others that choose to just consumers Fox News, CNN, and other biased media outlets run by boomers and elite politicians.
By this time you’ve probably heard about the food shortages around the globe that have come about as a result of the War in Ukraine, high inflation, and the Residual effects of the covid 19 pandemic.
What you probably haven’t been told is that the severity of these shortages is expected to worsen significantly in the coming months as we get into fall and winter and how that will impact not only the US but the stability of the current global order.
History shows us time and time again how violent things get when food shortages and famine abound. Entire governments have been toppled because of this basic human need.
We are after all animals, and despite the technological gains and comfort brought on by the modern age, it simply takes removing the accessibility of our basic primal needs to see a situation get kinetic extremely quickly.
Recently Jordan B Peterson interviewed one of the youngest Green Berets to ever pass selection on his views of the world, recent conflicts, and the food shortages we are experiencing and the responses are disturbing as to what he believes is coming.
If you’ve heard about the World Economic Forum (WEF), Bill Gates buying up farmland, CCP buyers taking American agricultural land/farms, or the smattering of Dutch Farmer anecdotes you have all the pieces in front of you to take a guess at why and how things are trending.
The question as it most always is, is that are we looking at incompetence or maliciousness. Those two things can be very difficult to decipher from one another but we have feelings that their are far too many coincidences popping up for this to be coincidental and related to incompetence.
Climate change, while certainly a concern, is being used alongside ESG narratives to do a sort of sinister globalist policing of what we are allowed to consume, emit, and utilize on this earth. Under this guise of “worrying about the planet” some of the most concerning laws, regulations, and government action are playing out.
We’ve mentioned it before in our Guns in America post and our How I Prepare in 2022 post (our highest read post) but the fact is most of us Americans are not prepared for two major coming phases in the United States. These aren’t radical ideas, they are likely certainties at this point and we are already seeing them play-out. You don’t get to bury your head in the sand like an Emu and avoid this - it will impact all Americans.
They are:
1.) Rampant food shortages
2.) Election/Political/Supply Chain induced violence
We have long been fortunate to live in a Country with running water, necessities, Amazon next day delivery, fast food, Netflix, anything you could really ever want on tap!
Ask yourself how you would fare if all of the sudden none of that was available…. It’s not that crazy of a question. Even some of my far left friends have come around on the topic of prepping because of all of the crazy things we have seen during the last two years.
This could also happen if we have another serious covid outbreak, monkeypox mutation, or other unforeseen new virus that puts us in lockdowns again. If that happens you’re town or city could be without food for days if not weeks.
Im survival situations and in life many experts are always proponents of trusting your gut and relying on what your senses are telling you to decipher what’s happening in the natural world around you. I’ve been doing that since the start of the pandemic and it has served me well.
I have a favorite neighborhood bar I frequent for lunch or early dinners. Just this week I went and ordered my regular chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The other night it was great, but today I went in and the chicken was lower quality (could tell immediately) and the bar was entirely out of sweet potato fries and onion rings. This pattern isn’t unique to this eatery’s as I’ve noticed quality AND quantity is going down.
Reason for this is simple, there is less availability and because of that suppliers are charging way more. Even a small increase in the price of basics a bar or store needs can drastically impact their bottom line and ability to function.
Pay attention to this stuff. It’s everywhere, the grocery store, bars, nicer restaurants, CVS, and other places many of us eat at and buy from every day. It should concern you. This might seem like a small anecdotal story, but when it becomes an everyday occurrence that’s when you need to raise an eyebrow and take note that something bigger might be happening.
What you need to ask yourself is:
am I prepared to go without readily available food for 3 weeks? Is my family?
am I prepared to filter/source my own water if it becomes harder to get?
do I have a plan to defend what I have if necessary?
do I have a plan to get out of a city or conflict area quickly?
Three basic questions that aren’t conspiracy or fear mongering - but just basic and realistic questions you should have answers to given what we are seeing on a global and domestic scale as it relates to food availability, pricing, and quantity.
I hope I’m wrong! I hope we get the supply chains fixed and we avoid global famine. But the reality is it doesn’t look like we’ll get that lucky.
