When I set out to start arb letter - I wanted to focus on two main qualities for the publication/commentary.
The first, was ensuring that everything I covered and commentated on was done so in a straightforward and easy to understand manner. Given the abundance of mainstream media sources and public figures, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to find news and commentary that isn’t mixed and softened with any number of “institutional” and “mainstream narrative” talking points and permitted opinions.
Nowadays that means politically correct takes, hyper inclusivity to the point of delusion, and a type of woke softness that has permeated into all realms of western life — ignoring the reality of what’s happening in our world.
The second was to focus on the things that actually matter — financial health, sovereignty, independence, physical/mental health, and critical thinking (an art that seems to be long lost).
You don’t get free lunch in this world — or rather, you don’t get free lunch without some sort of catch or hitch. Out of our 21,000 subscribers close to a quarter subscribe to premium. Writing and synthesizing these articles weekly is time consuming. That’s why premium is $5 a month, although that skews wayyy lower than many other pay to read publications on Substack and other platforms.
I get questions all the time “can you make this free?” Or “why is this paid?”. Aside from the effort and time required — the answer is quite simple. Not everyone deserves or will commit to ensuring they’re “in the know” or getting quality information. You have to pay to play — like many other ventures in life worth their salt.
Not everyone will understand that the dollar amount is completely insignificant compared to the chance and opportunity to source unbiased and critical information. Even if it’s one tip, perspective, or pointer — that one piece of information could put you on the path to a much higher quality life, sense of purpose, give you a valuable new perspective for interacting with the world, or drive you to start a new prosperous venture yourself.
Anyone who doesn’t fall in line or fit the acceptable mold of modern day society or questions what they are being told or what they are seeing with their own eyes is considered an extremist.
I know not everyone will agree with my style of commentary, my views, or my takes — that is natural.
But those that do understand know I come from a place of good intention — one in which I want people to truly understand the bigger picture and the predictive ability historical occurrences give us for the future.
When I look back at the top read, paid for, and engaged posts of Arb Letter — it doesn’t really come as a surprise, they include:
9 Mistakes Most People Won't Avoid
How to Become Sovereign & Ungovernable
The simple blueprint for getting rich
Ultimate Men's Guide to Dating in 2023
These are just a handful of our top posts — but all of these posts help people — either personally, financially, socially, mentally, or spiritually.
And without sounding cheesy that’s what I want to continue to do — work towards helping my subscribers and followers to simply become better. I’m not the end all be all of self help or financial literacy or some revolutionary political icon, but in my opinion through my personal journey so far in life I’ve developed a unique lense to view the world and one’s self that aims to leverage many of the qualities and traits that modern society has demonized, disincentivized, or glossed over in favor for many that champion instant gratification, ignorance, laziness, and mediocrity.
Many consider that extremist. If that’s the case so be it. Don’t care. Get rekt.
The times we live in are high stakes — for personal finance, for society, and for personal development, and there are many many distractions and noise sources being thrown at people constantly to throw them off course from discovering the truth, being honest with themselves about where they fall short, and that prevent people from reaching the best version of themselves they can manifest and execute on.
Today I will cover updates on several fronts:
Economic
Societal
Financial
Political
Today’s post is a gut check — do you actually know what’s going on in the world around you and the United States from a economic, societal, financial, and political lense? Or are you caught up in the comforting and insidious lies that are propagated under the guise of the “truth”?
By the end of today’s post you will have a concise framework and snapshot of the trends and topics you should be fully monitoring the make sure you have the best chance of succeeding in different realms of life.
Today’s post will be unsettling for some — but it’s necessary.
I will continue to write free posts to get the word out, educate everyone, and ensure people have the chance to stay up to date on noteworthy developments in financial markets and geopolitics but if you find yourself frustrated by the mundane cyclic nature of modern life, by your own progress in any of these fronts, or you’re simply tired of ingesting content and views that you know deep down aren’t transparent or genuine then I encourage you to consider upgrading to access all of Arb Letter deep dives.
