Hope everyone is having a great week so far. Today we are dropping our guide to the 2024 Presidential Elections in the United States of America. We’ve gotten a lot of requests to cover this along with the implications we think it has for our country which are many.
2024 will likely be 2020 on steroids.
Why? Well the stakes are higher, the division is more pronounced in the country, and on top of all of that you have a range of issues that can really make or break out country in the short term.
In our deep dive today we’ll cover:
The State of the US today
Key issues that will impact the 2024 election
Contender overview (all main candidates thought to be potentially running)
Predictions & scenarios for 2024
The election in 2024 will likely surpass 2020 as the most pivotal in US history for a whole range of reasons. For starters, the country isn’t in a great place on multiple fronts — crime, borders, economy, national unity, foreign wars, social issues, crypto/money, and infrastructure will all be center focus for candidates and voters.
There’s also the overarching theme of lack of trust in governments and insitutions which has ramped up considerably in the aftermath of Covid, surging inflation, and reckless foreign policy abroad like the botched Afghanistan pullout and our current involvement in Ukraine.
It may sound cliche but this election is going to set the tone for the next 10 years in the US.
With many skeptical of the integrity of our electoral process amid more and more evidence of foul play within the FBI, DOJ, and other federal branches, 2024 is going to be nothing short of an absolute clusterf*ck. A recent ABC News/Ipsos poll found deep partisan divisions over views of the recent Trump indictment. The poll found that 47% of Americans — including 79% of Republicans, 48% of independents and 16% of Democrats — believe the charges against Trump in the case are politically motivated.
The Democrats are determined to keep their incumbent control at all costs and Republicans are hungry to reclaim the White House.
The 2024 election will have far reaching social, political, and financial consequences that all Americans will feel in the coming years. Today the aim is to give you a high level read on what’s going to matter in 2024 and what you can likely expect. People who lack the background or context going into 2024 are more likely to be gullible when it comes to major updates and are more likely to get riled up or angry. Understanding the bigger picture will allow you to make better decisions for yourself and at the same time, understand that not everything is exactly what it seems.
The State of the US Today
Even without our signature “doomer” style to geopolitics and economy — it’s hard to deny the US and world isn’t in an unprecedented space right now. You can feel it in the air right now if you’re the spiritual type. A heavy sense of impending conflict or reckoning. Too many things have been kicked down the road, too many lines have been crossed, and too many lies have been fed to the American citizen.
With the onset of the Covid 19 pandemic many people across the world, but specifically within the US, got to see what it looks like when government abuses their power and leverages fear to control populations. The virus itself was real, but the policies, remedies, and social “rules” that followed were nothing short of tyrannical. If you can’t see that at this point I don’t know what to say.
Skate parks were filled with sand to enforce “distancing”.
Kids were kept out of school.
People were fired from jobs and livelihoods for not getting an experimental shot.
Ivermectin and other effective treatment was labeled misinformation.
META and other social media companies censored lab origin discourse (now true)
There were calls for action against non vaxxed, and action taken in some areas, like throwing people into quarantine camps (Australia).
Vaccines were rushed and forced upon people without proper research done. Side effects, long term consequences, and recalls are only just now surfacing (go figure).
The Associated Press reports that over $200 billion may have been stolen from two large US coronavirus relief initiatives, according to estimates from a federal watchdog.
The entire thing was a scam of sorts — not in that people didn’t get sick or die, but in that the entire event was used to usher in power grabs and manipulate fear for material gains. An opportunity for those in power to grasp more, abuse the system, and become richer all off the fear of the populace.
