Well folks — another prediction of ours has come to fruition. If you recall in July — I formally predicted there would be another attempt on Donald Trump’s life in the coming months and sure enough here we are.
A second attempt on former President Trump’s life was made yesterday while he was playing golf at Trump International Golf Club.
A shooter was positioned on the border of the 6th hole and opened fire, Secret Service responded in kind and the suspect has been detained. This marks the second attempt on Trump’s life in 2 months in the US.
I’m not going to mince words today — this country is teetering on the edge of total chaos at this point.
What’s incredibly disgusting, though not surprising, is the left’s reaction to all of this. First it was the pathetic cope of trying to break this news as a “shooting near the course”.
When that narrative was quickly erased with more updates from local law enforcement and the Trump campaign, and it was confirmed this was another assassination attempt, many online expressed disappointment. My initial Instagram post — simply highlighting the details we knew with an objective caption, was flooded by leftists saying the following:
“No doubt an inside job for him to gain sympathy points after the debate”
“Nobody believes that any more He is failing and wants to be noticed”
“Lol doubt it”
“Patsy for attention for sure”
“These people got to get some better aim”
One individual even emailed me right after saying the following:
My initial response is - what the actual f*ck is wrong with these people? These are absolute ghoulish depraved people we are talking about.
Covering breaking news of a former President almost getting assassinated AGAIN is “pro Trump”? The comments above illustrate several things — these people do not care that violence is being employed because it is against someone they dislike. They take the slightest coverage — even about something unsettling like this, as an affront to their twisted echo chamber ideology. They’re willing to make light of the situation and joke about it (see below). Some are even wishing the attempts are successful.
My second response is — you should be taking these sentiments as a stark wake up call. An environment in which individuals, the media, and organizations are okay with violence being employed against their political opponents is one or two steps away from all out conflict.
People really need to grasp the severity of the situation we have in the United States. We are bordering along the lines of living under an insurgency at this point. In an environment when individuals (whether they are part of a broader plot or not) are brazen enough to try and kill the former President of the country is highly unsettling. You need to understand that this does not end with Trump.
A precedent is being set in which other radical actors may be encouraged to take action and potentially target others besides just high level officials.
Every one is in danger in this environment and I don’t take any pleasure in writing this sentence. We’ve entered a new phase of conflict in this country now, you can easily make the argument the train is off the tracks and there is no getting it back on.
The recent assassination attempts on Trump, combined with high political tension and low public trust, could heighten the risk of an insurgency-like environment in the U.S. This type of instability often emerges when a significant portion of the population feels alienated from the political system, believing it is illegitimate or unjust. When public trust erodes, armed groups or individuals may feel emboldened to act outside legal norms, fostering a climate of political violence.
Key characteristics of an insurgency include:
Polarized Political Environment: When political tensions escalate and political figures become symbolic targets, violence can erupt as both sides resort to force.
Erosion of Public Trust: A breakdown in trust in government institutions fuels unrest. Citizens lose faith in law enforcement, electoral processes, and legal systems, making violent resistance more attractive to radicalized individuals or groups.
Emboldened Actors: As high-profile attempts on figures like Trump continue, more extremist actors could feel empowered to carry out further acts of violence. This emboldening effect can accelerate a spiral of violence, with copycats or ideologically motivated individuals joining in.
Fragmented Authority: When the state appears weak or incapable of managing threats, rival groups or militias can arise, further deepening divisions and creating zones of instability within the country.
The combination of increased political violence, the rise of vigilante groups, and further attacks on public figures can lead to broader instability, mirroring elements of insurgencies seen globally where the state struggles to maintain control amidst social and political fractures.
Another assassination attempt on Trump—just weeks before the election—raises unsettling questions — particularly given the plummeting trust in US government, agencies, and organizations who are clearly dropping the ball on preventing this kind of thing from happening.
Are we heading into a period of political violence unlike anything we’ve seen in modern America?
With tensions boiling over and public trust unraveling, what happens next?
How will security and the tone of the race shift before November?
If you’re worried about where things are headed like most reasonable people, it pays to understand the details of this latest attack and what it signals for our immediate future in the US and across the globe.
Let’s start with the details of the attempt that we have right now.
