More of a serious post today focusing on geopolitics and security within the United States — we will touch on crypto later this week — if you want to buy the dip ASAP you can use my Gemini code to get set up in 15 minutes HERE.
For a long time the United States has benefited from it’s geographical position on earth — deterring invasions, hostile attempts from adversaries, and insulating itself from the effects of global conflict with two large bodies of water. Only on 9/11 and during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor — did Americans witness first hand bold attacks on their homeland.
The Germans ran U-Boats in the Gulf of Mexico and the Eastern seaboard during World War II — but we’ve never actually seen enemy combatants breach our shores and successfully wage a conventional assault against the United States. Nowadays the biggest “threat” most people think of is the chance of global thermo-nuclear war — and thankfully, so far we’ve managed to avoid that outcome.
Very few would be spared if that ever did become a reality.
We should be thankful. So far with the exception of the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor we’ve been relatively spared, enduring 9/11 and only a handful of credible terror threats in the last 22 years, like the Boston Bombing and various radical attacks throughout the US.
But the world is not the same place it was even 20 years ago.
When Hamas launched surprise attacks within Israel on October 7th 2023 the world was rattled and rightfully so. Modern technology spread the atrocities quickly online — images and videos of rape, executions, murder, and bloodshed propagated quickly. It was the first time many people saw what true unbridled violence looks like when a hostile group got the edge on a civilian population. People were utterly defenseless and worse, Hamas was able to catch Israelis by surprise, employing speed and para gliders to rapidly attack and cause confusion before a response could begin — the result was many more casualties.
The war in Ukraine also broke many of the veils people had from violence in the US. Engagements on Ukraine’s fronts now resemble those of the Western front in World War I — close quarters trench combat, amplified by the unrestrained use of drones, tanks, artillery, and deadly modern weapons systems. The average life expectancy of a front-line soldier in eastern Ukraine is just four hours, a retired US Marine fighting alongside Ukrainian forces in the Donbas region told ABC News. It’s been a long time since the world has seen conventional warfare play out on such a scale.
The world is a powder keg at the moment. Unless you look back to the peak of the Cold War when the Soviets were playing in Cuba, you’re hard pressed to find a time when our enemies were more active overseas, when more regional conflicts were raging on in LATAM, the Middle East, and Africa, and when the US was in a poorer position as it relates to national security.
The truth is — now more than ever, we are at risk of a sizeable attack or disruptive event on the US homeland. Social, political, and economic factors will all feed into the possible scenarios that can play out in the coming months.
So where and how would a successful attack or disruptive event play out in the United States? Economic black swans events are one thing but my gut tells me we are in for a more disruptive event that incorporates economic consequences as an intentional bi product of such an event. Fortunately, at least for now, the risk of an all out invasion like Red Dawn by the Chinese or Russians is still likely improbable. However, the US has been the target of “attacks” now for some time — they just come in different forms.
One of the primary tactics is through subversion.
We’ve touched on subversion in past Arb Letters. To review, Yuri Bezmenov, a former KGB defector, soviet press-officer, and a public relations agent, defined subversion as the following:
“What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American to such an extent that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.”
— Yuri Bezmenov
This could not be a more apt description of what’s happening in our country. Politically, socially, economically, and within our communities across the nation.
Most of us who disagree or the see the absurdity of modern woke politics and marxist policy — can put up with it for now. It’s annoying and it’s amplified substantially since Biden won in 2020 and since the tyrannical mandates during Covid — but aside from higher prices, inconvenient rules, and louder social movements — nothing truly INSANE has played out yet.
But it will. There are simply too many red flags and indicators that suggest the capacity for such an event to occur or for some of these risk scenarios to play out fully. We are living in truly unsettling times — even if the majority of the population doesn’t grasp that yet.
By the end of today’s post it should be obvious that the US has been infiltrated by hostile groups and ideologies from many corners of the world. This isn’t fanfare or exaggeration — it’s fact, and it’s fact that is rarely covered in mainstream media outlets for a variety of reasons. Our security is at risk — the prosperity and safety of the American people is at risk, and our leaders simply do not care, either because they stand to benefit from the coming chaos and lawlessness or because they’re gaining a new voter base (or both).
The American people lose.
Let me be as clear as I can — in the coming months leading up to the US election — accurate and realistic information is your best asset in preparing you family, loved ones, and yourself for what may come. You will not get this information in an unbiased lense through mainstream media — be it Fox News, CNN, or any other sources you rely on. Even mainstream influencers who are slaves to the “narrative” and “current thing” won’t be reliable — they have too much to risk and/or lose. When I set out to start Arb Letter I wanted to provide a sober, realistic, and honest picture of geopolitics, economy, and society.
Let’s start with the troubling trend at the southern border and some of the forces of subversion at work as I type this.
