Election week.
Buckle up.
I will be providing updates on the 2024 Presidential Election for the next 48 hours.
Providing a complete checklist today to all subscribers to follow along with as we enter what is sure to be a contentious 2 days.
For starters — all major updates will be in the Substack Live Chat and on our Twitter HERE. Make sure you are following on Twitter (create a burner if need be) so you can see what’s happening in real time. We will post some content to Instagram but Substack and Twitter are the best places to follow as I am sure META will be working overtime to reach throttle and shadowban.
If you want to ensure you receive all Arb Letters this week make sure to upgrade to premium as we will be doing 2 deep dives including today’s.
We will have today’s guide, a new episode of Risk On, and another update come out on Thursday covering the results as well as the market action as a result of the perceived outcome (equities and crypto).
Today we’re going to review the following:
Our prediction for what is going to happen tomorrow night and in the coming weeks and months as well as top commentary from influencers and political analysts on potential outcomes
Crypto and market expectations depending on who wins (crypto already giving us some signs of what may be coming)
What we may see happen AFTER the election and how it will factor into the environment and social temperament of the US
List of updates regarding regional preparation for election unrest across the United States
Security considerations for election week and the upcoming months (summarized teachings/tips from John "Shrek" McPhee, a retired U.S. Army Special Operations Sergeant Major with over two decades of service)
We do not know what is about to happen but we can cover the most likely outcomes and incorporate some lessons from 2016 and 2020. We are at a fundamental and critical crossroad for this country. The outcome of this election is going to drastically impact everything from society in the US to financial markets to geopolitics overseas and the future of our government.
Beyond the outcome of the election is the capacity for unrest and backlash depending on who wins. Photos surfaced today of workers installing anti-scale riot fences at the VP residence tonight in preparation for the election — a sign of potential things to come.
We are likely going to see some crazy shit tomorrow night and this week.
While I am not going to directly tell you what to do, some things to keep in mind in this pivotal race.
Are you okay with government corruption? With the weaponization of our justice system and federal agencies against political dissidents and the American people?
Are you okay with free speech being targeted and suppressed? With Elon Musk going to prison? With your tweets and thoughts online being flagged as hateful or offensive? With the only media that gets a pass being state backed propoganda channels and companies?
Do you want to see the continuation of anti merit systems like DEI and affirmative action being championed in our companies, universities, and government? Does this build a capable country? Or one built on lies and woke bullshit?
Is it acceptable that the establishment has installed their candidate without any sign off by the American people? That the race has been entirely one sided in it’s “fact checking”, media coverage, and social media narratives?
Do you want foreign wars to continue or end? Do you want US taxpayer dollars to continue to be sent overseas or spent on our own people?
Are you okay with millions upon millions of illegal and undocumented people, criminals, and terrorists flooding our country? When does this end? Will it matter once we are outnumbered in our own country? When it impacts you or a loved one directly?
Do you think it’s acceptable that we have an entirely soft approach to crime and evil people? That we charge those daring to help protect good people? That you can be sent to prison for a political charade instead of receiving a fair trial?
Are you happy with the state of the US economy? With your chance or other’s chances to buy homes? To afford basic goods? To transcend social class?
Things are 100% not better than they were previously. I don’t care what the emotional argument is about Trump or how much someone hates him.
THINGS ARE NOT BETTER — THEY ARE WORSE.
This should be obvious to anyone with a room temperature IQ.
This is the single most important crossroad in our nation’s history. The future of the country on the ballot and the outcomes are drastically different. This is it kings.
We have arrived.
Let’s start with a review of what the odds are for both candidates and then we will move into the steps you should take to prepare for tomorrow and the coming weeks.
"The creed of our democracy is that liberty is acquired and kept by men and women who are strong and self-reliant, and possessed of such wisdom as God gives mankind – men and women who are just, and understanding, and generous to others -- men and women who are capable of disciplining themselves. For they are the rulers and they must rule themselves.”
—Franklin D. Roosevelt
