Someone mentioned the other day mentioned in a comment on one of my pages that they thought I had changed over the the last two years. After 5 years in social media and internet based business I am no stranger to unsolicited feedback or chirps or unwarranted attacks — it’s comes with the territory.
Funnily enough I actually agreed with what this person was saying.
I’ve absolutely changed.
Not to beat a dead horse but the last two years have been one of the most transformative and eye opening times in my life.
We talk about a lot of topics in Arb Letter. We talk about markets, global news, lifestyle pieces, current events, and much more but my goal has always been to commentate in an extremely raw and down to earth way that all of my subscribers can relate to and benefit from.
But nowadays the truth is considered blasphemous — even entertaining radical ideas is treason and worthy of condoning with hate.
When the pandemic hit I watched the US turn into a hyper polarized and split nation — both politically, with a supercharged election, and socially with vaccine mandates that divided the country, lost people jobs, and tore families apart.
But now?
In my mind there are now two groups of people in the United States and politics does not necessarily define these groups, though some would assign the two major parties in the US to either — if you’d like to do so feel free, but I don’t really view it that way.
In my opinion it’s more about your values, principles, and ability to understand what is actually going on in the world — there are scumbags in the democratic party and the republican party alike.
But let’s flush this out a bit more.
One group in the US is dead set on woke politics, political correctness, and ridiculous social and political policies (can be both republican and democrat). These people deny that crime is horrific in New York City at the moment. Companies continue to become woker and woker - just this morning PayPal has reinstated its $2,500 fine for "misinformation."
These people can’t explain to you why we’re really in Ukraine and want to escalate with Russia blindly, thereby risking nuclear war. Hell they think that open borders are okay despite over 2 million illegal immigrants entering our country this year and fentanyl flowing in from the cartels that the Chinese are undoubtedly funding to break down our society and kill our youth.
They are characterized by sheer delusion to the point that it will get people harmed or killed but that’s okay as long as they have their fake virtue, their money, and their control over others.
These are the people who lied about the pandemic origins, misrepresented vaccine/Covid effects, sold out to China and our enemies, inflated our currencies to all hell, sold the top of the equity markets/insider traded illegally (politicians), and continue to implement policies that harm good everyday American people.
The corruption in our country has reached a tipping point. It reeks.
These people have no values. They don’t care for family, they don’t care for our country, and they will do anything they can to retain power, win votes, and end up on top.
Unfortunately there’s a sub level within this group. Some of you may call them normies, or wokesters, or clueless.
These people, many of whom you likely know, buy into woke social bullshit. They don’t believe in free speech. They think certain races, sexual orientations, or types of people deserve more than others. They value emotions over facts. They’re quick to post the next current thing on their instagram story despite having zero context about the true nature of the issue or problem. They want handouts and they want to cancel anyone who doesn’t agree with them.
On an even lower level these people are content being average. They don’t mind following instructions or being told what to do. They’re quick to follow headlines and don’t think past first order consequences.
The other group sees through the lies, gaslighting, and constant deception. They critically think about what all of these events mean, how they happened, and if they make sense. Nowadays I feel like Truman from the Truman Show or like a man stuck inside Plato’s allegory of the cave. The illusions I once adhered to and eagerly ate up have faded. I am burdened by skepticism.
I see politicians offering grocery discounts for booster shots, corporations continuing to deny wrongdoing, I see little Ukrainian flags all over my town, I hear about Dutch kid’s being forced to eat crickets to save the environment, I hear inflation isn’t so bad because it’s slightly worse elsewhere, that the new booster is finally the one that is effective and prevents transmission (it doesn’t), that the Ukrainians need billions more than Americans do, and I just simply don’t buy any of this shit anymore.
In a jaded sobering lense — I see through the gimmicks completely. There’s no going back once you see it all for what it really is.
Here’s the thing — the truth is painful. It’s inconvenient. It’s uncomfortable and nowadays, it’s likely horrifying.
The truth about the vaccine push, the War in Ukraine, the absolute cluster that is Fed fiscal policy, the truth about US politics, about Tik Tok, about Epstein, and so much more would truly rattle people to the core if they knew the implications and facts.
The funny thing is facts are beginning to emerge about all of these things and more and yet, people don’t seem to care.
It’s pretty maddening if you’re paying attention.
Let’s get spicy.
